Clinical Decision-Making

Clinical Decision-Making has been described as the “contextual, continuous and evolving process where data is gathered, interpreted and evaluated in order to select an evidence-based choice of action.”

Or, simply put, it means that the results and conclusions of population-based data are extracted and translated to support and improve the diagnosis and treatment decisions for an individual patient. Because this evidence-based approach is based on clinical data and evidence, AI solutions have the potential to substantially participate in and contribute to the clinical decision-making process.
